Strobe Edge

00:37 Cyndi 0 Comments

This is a short post but - after 4 years of reading and waiting for STROBE EDGE by Sakisaka Io, I have finally finished the whole series!! 36 chapters and 10 volumes.I don't even know what to feel inside but I feel so happy and totally going >,< all through the couple last chapters. Definitely top in my manga list!!! And Ren is sooo hot!!!!!

It has made my heart flutter, beat and always manages to pull on my heartstrings and always, ALWAYS makes me go 'AWWWWWW' I loved the ending and it has taught me so many things and guided me along with Ninako's (which is such a cute name btw) first love and the challenges she (and many other teenage girls) face with love and relationships! I don't know what manga to read now, I just feel like I've reached my goal and achieved something and now I feel all good inside, especially since the last chapter was filled with 'nawww~~~' moments!

School and Sleepovers

22:38 Cyndi 0 Comments

So, now it's currently term 2 holidays and that means we would have already received our semester 1 reports already! I thought I would have done so much better, I was so disappointed in myself. I guess I'm just so used to getting A's or B's for my report and only like 1 C...

But this year, I received only 2 A's!!!! My parents were extremely disappointed in me and I was so embarrassed with myself. I knew that I wasn't working to the best of my ability, since I was procrastinating so much and compared my my friends in my classes - I wasn't working properly and putting the best effort I could of. I'm going to try to at least push my C's to a B, and my B's to an A and try to improve my A's even more. I need all of these scores to add up together so I can go to university.

I've always dreamed of going into university (Sims 2 had a big influence XD ), but many people say that university is very fun and everything. And since, I've been at the same school since I was 5 years old, I've never really made new friends (well I have, but not at a new school), and been the new girl? at a new school. It's just going to be super fun, and I don't want to miss out on all the fun just because I couldn't graduate and go to university just because I wasn't working well enough in school.

UWA

Also, even though when my parents ask me what I want to be when I grow up - I have no idea. I know that I want to study social psychology in university, but honestly, I have no idea what to be when I grow up. I'm thinking of business, with like a full on desk and writing reports and everything but that seems like a really boring job and I'm more of an art person...but at the same time psychology is just so interesting and intriguing... I just hope, somehow, God can guide me to the right directions and lead me to whatever path he has planned out for me. I'm sure he has a future for me and somehow in my future, he would want me to help spread the word about Him but at the same time, survive through this sinful world. (Sorry if I seem like a pessimist)

Anyways, end of rant.

Danae's 16th Birthday Party

18:12 Cyndi 0 Comments

So, on saturday [18/06/11] It was Danae's 16th birthday party and it was semi-formal styled and it was a progressive dinner so we didn't know what was going to happen. Danae didn't really give out many clues or anything so we all guessed :)

I didn't bring my camera with me since it didn't fit into my bag, so there aren't many photos of the FOOD <3 and most of it are self shots. OH WELLS!

When we arrived there, Danae was still getting dressed and her church friends and Mel had already arrived. So we sat down to watch TV, and introduced ourselves. It was a wee bit awkward but it was alright when Danae came out! She unwrapped the presents and cards and we waited for the rest of the people to turn up. Jenna arrived, then Kendra, then Natalie then Chelsea.

We walked outside and we found a hot pink HUMMER!!! For anyone who doesn't have an idea as to what a hummer is, it looks like this:

Pink Hummer! (Similar to the one we had)
So yeah, we were all like super duper excited as we didn't expect it and the inside was amazing! It was like all bright and had heaps of speakers and the coolest hot pink seats.

Similar to our one except not as pink inside

We all had dresses on, so it was bit difficulty to get it since we had to bend over and cover up our bottoms!

Athletics Carnival and Other Bits

22:49 Cyndi 1 Comments

Greetings to you all! :) Sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been finishing exams and then we had an athletics carnival our first week back after exams! It was pretty hectic as it was so cold and we had to come back from our holiday mood and go straight back into school. I can finally focus on playing Sims 3 and writing my fanfiction! (which still doesn't have a proper name yet D:)

We had our athletics carnival on Thursday and it was pouring in the morning but after the host/speaker on the microphone prayed for us, the rest of the day was all sunny and bright! :D

I didn't go in any of the events except for novelties and those were fun :) We took heaps of photos but these two are the only good ones!

Winter Pajamas

21:52 Cyndi 1 Comments

It's the week before Exam Week(s), *le sigh* ... I really don't know how I should be feeling right now, but damn - it's cold. I haven't even been that efficient studying for exams. I have like 5 exams! I know some people have 6, but I am so stressed!

Psychology, Economics, Ethics and Philosophy, English and Maths. (No, I don't do any science subjects luckily) Economics and maths, I'm extremely worried about. For English, Ethics and Philosophy and Psychology I'm either getting A's or B's....Maths is so darn easy if I just had more time to do the work. If I didn't have most of my time after school consumed by those English assignments, I might be getting at least a B for Maths and Economics.

I really should stop wasting time and continue studying! Hmph, it's so cold right now. So glad I have an electric blanket. I don't know what I'll do without one. It's like your own personal comfortable heater. And PAJAMAS! Mumsies bought me two new pajamas early in the month. One is red with owls on it and one is hot pink with penguins on them! I also have a new dressing gown and they're sky blue with pink and white hearts on them. They're so nice and warm! >< Even my dog, Chocolate, has this jacket for winter and it's extremely warm. He keeps on shivering in the morning since it's so cold.

SCREAM 4 Outing

So today me and my friends went to the cinemas to watch...

Yup, still can't believe I watched through the whole movie. It was scary, gore-y and amusing all at the same time. I think I screamed a lot during the movies -- disturbing the rest of the people =__= oh no!

I won't really say much since it's definitely not a movie where you should find out who the murderer is in this case since I think that was the clever bit about the movie. It was also very funny thanks to COURTNEY COX! Oh my, she is gorgeous despite her age! Me and my friends kept on thinking the murderer was either this guy or that girl but it was none of them in the end o.O So that was really clever of the movie.

I thought the beginning of the movie was very cleverly done! I would have never guessed. The blood is also very disgusting and gore-y. It's like the whole HEAPS AND HEAPS of blood flowing out of the body kind of bleeding. STAB STAB STAB! Heaps and heaps of stabbing.

The cast were all a pretty bunch and they were all pretty good though I do have to say that they weren't as good as Neve Ampbell (Sidney), David Arquette and Courtney Cox. I will never view Emma Roberts the same after watching the movie...you'll find out when you watch the movie. Also, Hayden Panettiere's hair D: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? I like how they connected the old cast and set a new cast together.

Very well done, Scream 4 - you are the cause of all the spilled popcorn on my cinema seat. Literally hugging my box of popcorn from all the suspense and my friend next to me was hiding under her shirt. XD

River Cruise Year 11

16:37 Cyndi 0 Comments

I am extremely sorry for not updating this blog, but I
have been very busy because of school work. Another reason is because I have no idea what to write and so sometimes I just can't be bothered. ;~;

Anyhoo, we had our year 11 river cruise two weeks ago. It was so much fun! :D As we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words so here are some photos:

Left to right: Me and Sarah
Dance floor.....So packed ><

Left to right: Nicole, Becca, Sarah

The food we had :) It was very nice! Buffet!
We arrived on Barrack Street, near the Bell Tower and there was this humungous cruise ship just waiting for us! Everyone was like taking photos and saying 'ooh, I love your dress!' and 'You look so pretty!' It was dreadfully awkward and I didn't even know what to do.

Then we boarded the ship and it was so big inside. The dance floor was tiny though and I was expecting some cool DJ with headphones and everything but har-har NOPE...just an old man. It was cold outside and some people re-enacted the whole 'Jack and Rose' scene from Titanic outside of the ship. It didn't seem  like the ship was moving but it was actually going at a fast speed.

We all sat down and had like entree. Which were these mini spring rolls and curry puffs! They were soooo amazingly good! I'm so sad I didn't take that much photos. They were tres bien! We also had glasses of soda. We originally had coca cola at our table but then after we finished it, the waitresses refilled it. We also had a mini buffet. Heaps and heaps of food! It was so nice! I'm actually craving for it right this instant. Potatoes, potato salad, coleslaw, roast beef, bread and butter and garden salad! Oh yumboe, scrumboes!

We had like dessert too but I didn't eat that much because I had stitches from dancing and was very full from the main meal already. The dessert was like passionfruit cake, rocky road cake, fruits and thats all I can remember but they were delicious!

Then the rest of the night I danced while stopping to go outside because it was very hot from the dancing. You could literally see the windows steaming up and everything!

The cruise went on for three and a half hours and by the end of it, by feet were very sore. The next day, my legs and thighs were throbbing in pain from all the dancing (jumping up and down in this case).

Big Bang - Love Song TRANSLATION

14:43 Cyndi 0 Comments

Lyrics in English :-

(TOP) One woman is becoming disaster
Even though a man is still singing
I'm tearing up at the thought of break up

(Daesung) I can't touch you, I know yeah eh
I'm falling, catch me (hello)

(GD) I hate this love song...I hate this love song..
I hate this love song... I hate this love song.. x2

(Taeyang) I hate this love song, I'll never sing it again
So I can stop thinking of you, so I can finally forget you

(Seungri) I hate this love song, I'm going to sing it with a smile
In order to cure your loneliness, I'm going to you now
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-hoo

(GD) I'm scared, this world is meaningless
Take me to where you are, a place with the moon and stars

(Daesung) We were so beautiful, you know
You taught me what love was, hello

(Taeyang) I hate this love song...I hate this love song..
I hate this love song... I hate this love song..

(GD) I hate this love song... I hate this love song..
I hate this love song... I hate this love song..

(Taeyang) I hate this love song, I'll never sing it again
So I can stop thinking of you, so I can finally forget you

(GD) I hate this love song, I'm going to sing it with a smile
In order to cure your loneliness, I'm going to you now
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-hoo

(TOP) The warm rays of the sun are of another world
The field of reeds are dancing all alone
I remain paused at a green hill, holding a conversation I've yet to finish with her
The sky is of an expressionless face that holds no answers
You're probably hiding behind the clouds, you're probably a star

(GD) I close my eyes and feel your breath, I dream of you
A smile spreads across my lips, you're breathing with me now
Time, please stop, don't divide her and I
Wind, stop blowing, this is my last letter to you

(Taeyang) I hate this love song, I'll never sing it again
So I can stop thinking of you, so I can finally forget you

(Seungri) I hate this love song, I'm going to sing it with a smile
In order to cure your loneliness, I'm going to you now
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-hoo

Japan

21:09 Cyndi 1 Comments

I'm pretty sure everyone knows about the Japan tsunami by now...
So...wow, if you've watched the news - you'd know about how LARGE the disaster was.
It was honestly...horrible and heartbreaking.
Even though I'm glad that the japanese exchange students we had last year are completely safe -
but it's still really saddening that thousands and thousands of people are confirmed dead or missing.
And a lot of the japanese exchange students had friends and family in Tokyo so I hope they won't be worried and that their friends and family will all be safe.

I hope everyone can help support Japan and hopefully they can rebuild again,
hopefully the people who have lost family and friends will regain their strength,
hopefully everyone can help contribute and continue to pray for Japan.

I know this is really late but it's just been really sad,
and here I am just looking around and nothing ever happens here
and I'm just so glad - it's good the way it is.

Thank you to everyone who donated~~!!!!

Oh ... Wow...Year 11...Lovely!

20:43 Cyndi 0 Comments

Year 11 started off with a BANG! Not one of the teachers I had, had a discussion of 'how the holidays went' or 'let's introduce yourself' No siree, they immediately started handing out course outlines and telling you that year 11 is going to be much more stricter because of the new principal.

Yes...that totally makes us feel so much better indeed. It just feels as if we didn't even have the holidays and totally just get into school work because on the first day I was handed...an assignment. Third day? Assignment and 2 worksheets and 7 pages of homework which totally stressed me out so much.

This year will probably be exactly the same as last year - the usual...boring, unexciting, misery-filled and stressful year. My life is so boring sometimes I wonder if I should just totally lie on this blog and talk about this new made up life I have in my mind. You know...like it's filled with exciting dramas and funny teachers and girls who fall in love but then something exciting happens that stops them. Then people can quote it like it's in the movies so it'll be like totally AMAZING.

But no, sadly...no.
Life is just boring as.

Goodbye Holidays

22:18 Cyndi 2 Comments

So, school is tomorrow. First year of YEAR 11! That's right, two more years until I graduate and finally become an adult and go to university/college and start life. I can finally experience the life my Sims had that I never got to have!!!

Yeah, so, holidays were really quite boring and the only exciting thing that happened was sleeping. Oh and I forgot to mention the exciting dreams I had whilst dreaming. The saying 'Dreams are better than reality.' Oh yeah - I couldn't even wake up until 6pm some days (during the holidays) because my dreams were so fascinating.

This morning I was dreaming of Skins...I really don't know if that was a good or bad thing o.O because it's like R rated and everything but it was definitely generation 1 of Skins. I'm really beginning to like generation 2 of Skins though :) Everyone finds Pandora annoying and they hate her but she's okay for me. I like her. She's useless.

We also have a river cruise in March. Everyone's already found their dresses and everything ~ well except me of course. Or else I would have already put it on my blog instead of moping around wondering what to blog about today. I went around Whitfords where they have like Sportsgirl, Dotti, THE FOREVER NEW! Ugh yeah, no luck cause everything is not 'river cruise' enough except for Forever New except everythings SOOOO EXPENSIVE!!!! It's like you're looking for something formal but not too formal. Everything here is like way too formal or way too casual!! It's really hard :/ But I don't know, I've only been window shopping at Whitfords. I still need to go to the city to check it out.

... Anyhoo, school tomorrow so I better go to sleep. Though I have my alarm clock so I don't know why everyones worried. :)

Fight for what you love, And love what you fight for
School is starting soon. Year 11, they say.
That's two more years until I graduate. That's a scary thought.
I'm one of those people who are still deciding what to do with their life.
I don't have any particular interests besides blogging and going on facebook.
I'm not an outgoing person and I'm excluded from the rest of the crowd because of one flaw.
I'm an idealist, I think too much and speak too little. I don't speak what's on my mind; I bottle it up.
It's just so scary to think that once I'm over these 2 years of exams and constant studying - I'm out there, in society where I'll have to work or continue studying at different universities from my current friends.
I'll lose contact with them (like I always do) and they'll make new ones and everything in highschool just seems like a blur.
When did time catch up and speed ahead?
I'm still taking it in all very slowly.
I don't want this to be over.
Not yet.

I don't even know what I want to be and what to do with my life yet,
All I can do is wait, look around to see if God has given me any signs.
I'm blind though, I can't pick up these signs because I'm dreaming.
I've been dreaming a lot these days too.
The dreams are indescribable and queer.
It's as if it's predicting the future but the future seems so far away.

I'm just a confused teenage girl with too much on her mind.

End rant.

Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season episode 1: Valentine's Day

04:29 Cyndi 1 Comments

Contains SPOILERS and LOTS OF PHOTOS:

So after a week of constant waiting I finally watched Kimi ni Todoke Season 2 episode 1 (the other one didn't count!!) - Valentine's Day. Although I've already read the manga but watching the anime made me even more upset that Sawako didn't give the chocolates to Kazehaya!! He was looking forward to them and it seemed like everyone else had them except for him D:

Even though Kurumi is really adorable and cute, in this episode I really hated her!! No wonder why they put the Episode 0 about Kurumi and her "rejection" so we could feel sorry for her and understand her side of the story. Me and Kurumi have a love/hate relationship. I totally hate her sometimes but then I totally love her and pity her. Haha. Though Sawako will always and I mean ALWAYS beat Kurumi!! Both personality and looks ^_^

In Ecstasy by Kate McCaffrey

18:31 Cyndi 2 Comments

So this book 'in ecstasy' caught my eye while I was borrowing books from the library since I really have no social life and reading is better than wasting your time sitting in front of the monitor refreshing the facebook/tumblr page :/

So the blurb says:

Ecstasy. I'd always thought I might try it one day. I'd heard kids at school talking about getting wasted on the weekends. They made it sound awesome. I pictured the roughly made tablets with their tiny butterflies. An amazing experience inside a tiny pill.
My body ached and my face was sore - I guess from smiling so much. I don't remember ever laughing more. A new world had opened up fro me, a place where I was confident and beautiful and a hot guy like Lewis wanted to be with me. That morning I figured life couldn't get any better. How could something that made you feel like that be bad for you?
So we studied Anna's Story in school and they actually mentioned it in here.

'Go easy, Mia. Drinking too much water can be as bad as dehydration.'
'What?' How could pure water be bad for you?
'A girl died. She drank heaps of water, way too much, and it diluted her blood. Her brain was swollen.'
They also mentioned how society has that whole propaganda thing telling you everything about why drugs are so bad for you and everything. It's very realistic. It covers a whole lot of issue and the author is honest and doesn't side with either side. It's not biased. So this is a book, I would recommend to teenagers and parents and people who want to know the truth about the drug culture. This was definitely a good read and I couldn't put the book down. It's from these two girls point of views - Mia and Sophie.

No, not the orangey-red dullish colour but the VIBRANT red colour!

Seriously want her hair!!

Vibrant Red Hair!
I actually dyed my hair red when I was 13 (before my hair died and splitted away~ because it was so dead from all the dying I did) Hey, dying your hair was cool in year 8 haha.

See! See?
Ah..you probably can't :/
I couldn't find anymore pictures that actually showed my red hair because well...I dyed it over black hair so you could only see it in the light. But I want vibrant (and visible) red hair the next time I attempt to dye my hair!! Which will not be this year...because I'm focusing on growing it out more than colouring it ^^

I might be going back to Hong Kong this year, maybe I'll find a vibrant red hair dye just in time for the year 12 prom. Yeah yeah yeah!! I'm totally cutting my hair after the year twelve prom -.- I've been growing it out since year 8. (Failing badly ;_;)

Really (seriously this year!) not going to cut my hair at all!!! omggommggomgg I want red hair so bad.
