I haven't posted since the beginning of this year and sitting down in front of my laptop and spending some quality time writing down some feeeels have made me miss properly 'blogging' (not Tumblr blogging which consists of 99.99% of me reblogging).
So, I won't ramble on on what I've been doing this past year because none of that really matters as it was mostly just me adjusting to university life and finding out the perils of relationships post high-school.
In the meantime, I just wanted to tell you that I'm heading off to Hong Kong in exactly 3 days! I just have to tackle my final exam tomorrow and I'm set for vacay! I am extremely excited as I haven't been back in almost 4 years! The last time I was there was back in January 2010. I'm going to be in Hong Kong for 1 month exactly but I'll also be touring around in Taiwan for 5 days! I've never been to Taiwan but should be exciting (I've heard there's a Krispy Kreme shop opening up in December which is PERFECT as I am long overdue for one of their donuts).
Another exciting thing is that as I'm eighteen now and more independent, I don't mind travelling by myself in the city instead of following my mum around to the smelly markets where she finds pleasure in picking out fruits and vegetables. I can now properly explore the metropolitan nightlife!! First stop: American Apparel!
Here are some fashion inspiration I am trying to opt for when shopping for pieces in Hong Kong!
I love how she pulls of the whole 'one colour' outfit! I'm bringing two oxblood coloured pieces with me to Hong Kong and so hopefully I can pull it off just like her.
I absolutely love Ju Xiao Wen! I love how most of her outfit consists of black except the shirt and she balances it out with the white on her shoes.
I'm more of a person that likes the whole plain and simple kind of outfit like the one above and the ones below. I find that neutral colours like black, grey, white and denim blue suit me more than bright colours. Which could also explain why I love Winter fashion way more than Summer fashion.

The Number 34

I was watching Laina's video the other day, she's also known as Overly Attached Girlfriend (OAG), about the Number 20 and it got me thinking about my creepy number. However, I didn't realise it until today that I had a creepy number. My creepy number is 34/43 or 3&4.
Here is Laina's video:
So I went to the driving center today to request for an ID card because it's really inconvenient without one. I can't get into bars, clubs, get a new phone, get a new bank account without it. I had to fill in some forms and that's when I realised that both of my contact numbers have the number '34' in them. My mobile number (9134) and home number (9343) and so it reminded me of Laina's video. Might I add that today is also the 12th of April (1+2 = 3) (0+4 = 4)
So then when me and my sister went to have lunch, I was browsing through my cards in my wallet and it struck me that both of my student cards, my university student number (4243) and my high school number (7346) both have 3 & 4 in them. What really scared me was when I added up my birthday and it added up to 34. My birthday is the 8th of February 1995 by the way so it's 2+8+1+9+9+5 = 34.When I realised that, I told my sister who was in the driver's seat next to me and a truck was driving up next to her at the traffic lights. Guess what the truck's number plate was? 534
After I told her about my birthday and the number 34, I went to change the song that we were listening to and it was playing at exactly 1 minute and 34 seconds into the song.
Guess what just happened...I was watching this video when I realised something.
34. 34. 34. 34. EVERYWHERE!!!
Maybe I'm just being paranoid or maybe the number 34 just follows me around everywhere. Maybe everyone has a creepy number. Perhaps it's just a coincidence? I'm not sure but let me know if you've discovered you have a creepy number too!
edit://
I also realised that our new car's number plate is 843 and the bus I take everyday on the way to the train station/university is 344. Also our house address is 7 (3+4 = 7). Will keep this updated if I find anymore of these!

STREET SNAP! & HAIRCUT!

I went to the Fremantle Street Arts Festival (FSAF?) on Saturday with a group of friends and there were heaaapps of people there. I went with a huge group of people from my high school so we kept on getting seperated as there were more than twelve people! So amidst the waiting and trying to get back together - I suggested to my best friend, Sarah's boyfriend, Kirk to street snap me! (Like they do on tokyofashion.com) This was the result! It actually looks like one of those street snaps!! Apart from my fail attempt at being fashionable! My friend, Anaya, looked much more fashionable than me but someone tried to photobomb while Kirk was taking the photo :(
I was wearing: a jumper from dotti, a dress from a no-brand shop, pink flatforms from the no-brand shop, tattoo tights from ebay (Universe), socks from target and ahcahcum muchacha cat bag.
I don't know why it looks black but my dress is actually blue (velvet blue dress)
I also got a, might I add - a much needed, haircut! Before, my hair was a mess. Nonono I'm not exaggerating! It was literally a mess, even the hairdresser said so.
It took me more than 10 minutes just to brush my hair before. The only time I would even brush my hair was after I had taken a shower because that was the only time I could actually brush it. However, starting the end of last year - even when it was wet I could not completely brush it through without there being a knot and tangling everywhere! Also, my hair had been bleached three times due my attempt at getting lilac hair (and failing) and also I dyed it a plum colour after I wanted to get rid of the orange colour from the bleach PLUS the fact that I had been growing it out since year 9. So my hair was seriously damaged due to the fact that I wanted to grow it out past my chest area and the fact that I just bleached the heck out of it!
So a haircut followed! But where do I find inspiration/reference for my new haircut? TUMBLR of course! This is when I fell in love with Kiko Mizuhara and her bob hair! She is absolutely stunning and I will killl just to be her but unfortunately that is not possible...as of now.
I showed this photo to my hairdresser but asked to make it a tad longer.
So I went to my favourite hair salon - OnC Studio It's really difficult for me to find a really good hairdresser place as I am absolutely so picky and they never ever seem to get my hair right. I used to dread going to get my haircut because they always ended up making it look absolutely ridiculous and then I'd cry and try to make it all better by straightening it or something! Then my mum let me grow out my hair so I told myself to never get a haircut ever again. So I didn't get any major haircuts for three years and even if I went to the hairdressers I only told them to trim just a teeny little bit or mention that I was growing out my hair every few minutes.
One of the hairdressers I went to was OnC and I told them I wanted to get rid of the split ends, layers and fringe - mentioning again that I was growing out my hair. However, OH MY GOODNESS, everything was perfect. It felt light and they helped me straighten my hair and I loved it so much. I went there again with my best friend, Yun, to get our fringes cut and AGAIN it was exactly what I wanted. So I went with confidence to OnC and I was totally not disappointed yet again. It ended up being exactly what I wanted.
Before.....as you can see (or not) my hair is all a giant big mess.
lol my shadow looks weird
The hairdresser helped me straighten it as Kiko's hair is naturally straight but I think I like it more when it curls at the ends as it looks more natural & he took a really long time straightening my hair - I don't think I'm that high maintenance to do that! So I wet the bottom parts of my hair. It feels so much lighter than before and I can actually run my fingers through my hair now! (I know right!) I love how I can messy it up and it won't become a huge frizzy mess and the split ends won't distract me during the day as I can hardly even see the ends of my hair unless I turn my head really down. I love it so much and that's weird because I haven't had short hair since year 7 or 8 and I hated my hair back then so much.
I'm trying to grow out my fringe now so that it's the same length as the rest of my hair. I hope I won't find some photo of a girl with straight bangs and suddenly have the urge to cut my fringe again because that ALWAYS happens.
Looking back, it literally took me 3-4 years to grow my hair out to the length I had before. Back in year 9, I remember going on soompi forums and browsing through all the 'grow my hair' challenges and 'how to grow hair faster' topics as I reallllyyy wanted long hair like all those beautiful kpop stars and ulzzangs. So I was so determined to grow out my hair so I could do hair flips and look feminine and beautiful. Little did I know - having long hair was so stressful and hard work. I went through a bottle of conditioner so quickly! Summer was horrible and I needed to find hair ties to tie up my hair so I always put it up in a bun (my hair always tangled so everything was just stressful) and all the sweat went onto my hair and it took hours for it to dry. I don't think I'd ever grow my hair as long as I had ever again.
I'm at the point where I find short hair and bobs to be more attractive than long hair but anyways - if you want to grow your hair out. Just don't cut it at all. Don't worry about it too much. Year 11 and 12 - everything was about exams so I didn't even care about my hair at all and I was surprised over how much it grew without me noticing. You need absolute patience.
The worst hair length is medium length and that's why year 9 I was stressing so much about it because when you're right in the middle of growing your hair out and it's not long enough but it can't be considered short enough too.
This post ended up being really long. Sorry. Bye.

So....ever since I turned 18 I have officially (and legally) been able to go online shopping as my parents didn't allow me before as they believed - I quote - it to be 'dangerous' and that people get their money stolen from online. I think they still live in the stone ages as obviously they've never gone online shopping in the 21st century and I believe they only heard such stories from like yonks ago!
Anyhoo - today I finally got my second item I've ever bought! They're these tattoo stockings in 21. Universe.
OK. Tattoo stockings. First step to getting Juria Nakagawa's look ...well close enough. I don't think I'll ever be able to be as fashionable as Juria to be honest. Bbbut TATTOO STOCKINGS!! I want to buy all of them!! The one I bought was $3 and I really wasn't sure which pattern I wanted so I just randomly chose this Universe one and it came in the mail today. It's a bit small on me and I was so scared of ripping it but I managed to make it at least fit though the design is a bit stretched but all is well! :D
I don't remember if I've mentioned it before but my parents got me a 13 inch Macbook Pro for my university gift! So I bought a case for it online because the second day I got it and brought it to school - I had already scratched it! :( I thought the case would be a more pastel mint green colour but it's actually sort of a darker shade when its on the macbook.
I only just bought this today and it was a really last minute decision. (I had always wanted the other ones before I had ebay) I bought this because my friend suggested I buy it so that we can have WIZARD DUELS!!! Also, I really love Fleur Delacour's wand for some reason. It's actually a more browner shade in the movie but I don't know why it's green for the ones online. :S
AHHH ALSO ALSO ALSO I have wanted this bag for agggggeeess!!! My friend said she would get it for me for my birthday but then the seller on eBay cancelled the transaction so I'm not sure what happened but I bought it!! Hopefully it arrives soon because I can't wait to use it. Ahhh I want it with me already! Look how stylish Juria Nakagawa looks with it!
I want to end this post with some bizarre photobooth photos I have saved!!!!
I don't know what's happening here either
Everything is just so funny
I think this totally captivates me and my dog's relationship.
LOOK AT HIS EYES THOUGH BAHAAHAHA
'Why me..why'
He just looks so sad ahahahaaha.
He is the demon dog.
Adventure Time-ing whilst waiting for Adventure Time to load
Waiting for everyone to get dressed
How you doin gurl
Me before I singlehandedly finished all of the Ferrero Rochers
You can tell he's my dog.
Me failing at copying Juria coz my nose is too big and her head is too small
How I feel all the time
I think this should be my permanent face tbh.

The First Week of being a 'FRESHER'

I DID IT!
I survived my first week as a university student. (Excuse me but this is a great achievement on my part)
I survived the tutorials, the lectures, the workshops, the whole attempt at making new friends in the largest university in my city, taking public transport, waking up at unearthly hours and accepting the fact that I will be stressing the next couple of months due to the heavy workload.
I never thought university life would be so stressful but I actually have an assessment due nearly every single week! I take four units/classes which are marketing, management, communications in business and design practice. The most fun one is definitely design practice but sadly, the one I'm most worried about since it is so time consuming. I love it though - I get to work with fancy iMacs desktops and work with Photoshop (I've only ever used Paint Shop Pro)! We're currently doing a photo montage in class and it's really fun! I haven't really made any friends yet but the people in the class are all so artsy and fashionable and generally really nice (I've only talked to like two people >.>)
MY TUTOR FOR DESIGN HAS THE COOLEST BEARD EVER!
Anyways, we're working on combining three images into one image. One of them is a background, an object and a person/people. I chose these three:
Basically I have to combine these three into the background. We're supposed to make them look as natural as possible and make it look like a real photograph. The thing is - I have no idea where to place the bench and the father with the kid. I'm thinking of placing the bench in the background and maybe the father where the benches are or situated in the boats themselves. So I'm stressed about that and I don't have Photoshop so I can only do it in class and so everything is just pretty stressful as it's due the week after!! We also have to remove the scratches as you can see and that's pretty easy - just the placing and tweaking of the image lighting/contrast/saturation to blend into the montage that's pretty difficult for me.
My other classes are pretty boring. Especially communication in business and management. I actually like marketing and the idea of it. I could barely finish the first chapter of management in my textbook. Apparently we were supposed to read chapter 1 of the textbook before our first class this week - which in my opinion is pretty stupid because we actually need to go to class to see which textbooks we need or what we need to buy etc. I didn't even know what to bring on the first day of university and my university doesn't do a really good job of helping the first years to fit into university. Orientation day was really no help at all since all the events were in different rooms and we had no idea where the event buildings were even located. - Moving on, first class we already received an assignment about CADBURY Marketing and yeah apparently I should've already finished researching the company.
This is a photo of my desk by the way... of course I tidied it up before taking a photo.
I felt like such a stereotypical business school uni student with my coffee (Iced coffee ...shhh). I swear everyone in university who are in second and third year carry coffee cups with them around campus.
My tutors are also pretty cool except for my communication in business tutor. He always ends up smiling at other people and frowning whenever I'm talking. D: WHAT DID I DO?! We're supposed to talk more in this class so I muster up my confidence to speak and then I end up getting discouraged to talk because of it. It's only been the first week and first class so I'll see how it goes but I met a really cool girl named Laura from Germany and she's really friendly. There's also this girl in my class with awesome purple ombre hair and ugh. WANT. Haven't seen her in any of my other classes.
I better continue studying now huhuhu TT____TT ... Until next time....which might be awhile since I'm going to be preeettyy busy for the next months or so.
By the way, if you have any suggestions on where I should place my images into my montage PLEASE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS???!!?!? I will really appreciate your input!

My Orientation week (O-week) started on Monday! Actually all of the other universities except for my one has already officially started classes but ours start next week! I am really nervous and extremely excited for it!
I'm sorry I haven't been blogging much!!! One of my new years resolutions was to blog a lot more but in the end I didn't even blog as much as I should! The thing is, I don't really know what to blog about since I'm such a boring person.
However, I shall just continue ranting on about my life even if no-one cares anyways.
I'm only going to Curtin on Monday and Wednesday because one of the events is compulsory and Wednesday is when all the fun things happen. I joined so many clubs today! It was like those Japanese high schools where you join clubs except you can join as many as you want!!
I joined two Christian clubs, the Anime club, two Asian/Chinese clubs and I plan on joining a Marketing club except I had no money left for the club fee so I couldn't join! I think I'm only going to stay in maximum three clubs as I won't have enough time for so many of these clubs to be honest since I have a job now! But first year will be less stressful compared to second and third year so it's best to participate in as many events as you can!
I honestly can't wait until university starts!
On a side note -- I still don't have lavender hair :( On another side note - I am still an unfashionable blogger. SIGH!

I can't believe I'm 18 already. I still remember being 12 and freaking out because I thought being 20 seemed so old. It's really exciting at the same time because now I am officially an adult and I get to go online shopping using my own card and I get to go to university and drink legally ;)
I turned 18 on the 8th of February! I didn't really have a fancy party - just a casual dinner with my closest friends and sister.
I didn't take my own camera ~ so I only managed to steal these photos from my friend's camera!
Playing around with my FANCY new fish-eye camera! Back to old-school cameras (yey)
Having dinner at Tiamo ~ my dish wasn't that nice (boo)
Scuse the messy room *embarassed* but birthday outfit of the day/night!
The AFTER party ~ Long story here...
FUNNY THING about the above photo. Originally we had planned to go clubbing (first time!) after my birthday dinner but today being ridiculously my unlucky day (!) it turns out my passport expired like 2 years ago so I wouldn't be able to get into the club anyways. So after the whole day getting excited about going clubbing and drinking beer and cocktails ~ I ended up staying at home and liking the rest of my Facebook birthday messages.
tryna be modles - this is our 'model' pose
Overall, I had a really fun birthday as opposed to my other birthdays where I usually just celebrate it at home with my family and eating weird cake. We drove all the way South to see the skyline which was amazing and I wish I could show you right now but unfortunately I'll have to wait until my friend gives them to me or something.
Thanks for reading! :)

Today was my first 'official' day at work - official because I had training before and tonight was my first official day where I get paid for working!
This is my second job and I like it so far and I hope I will continue to like it because all of the staff there are so nice and help me out. I don't mean to be such a bitch about my other job at Hungry Jack's but honestly some people working there were being really hostile towards me. I really need to get this off my chest. Some customers were also really rude and unfriendly. (Most of them were generally lovely!) Most of all - I had to take all of this for $8.40 an hour! That's really not a lot and the shift hours were killing me. I had to buy my own lunch during my breaks and they are usually more than $8.40!! I know I shouldn't complain since it's a fast food store and it's usually like that but I basically do really similar things as where I am working right now (except for taking in orders and telephone orders etc.) and I get treated with a lot more respect!

11 Random Facts
I am a Hong-er (Hong Kong-er) but grew up in Australia!
I am going into university~~
I have a mum, dad, a sister, a dog, a half sister and a half brother.
My favouritecolour is pink but it's a rosey pink not a purply-pink
I am extremely shy
I LOVE GINGER BEER
cyndork is a mesh between my first and last name
I want to go to South Korea and Canada so badly
My dream job would be to work for a women/girl's magazine
I am sort of a feminist ?
I think people are becoming way too narcisstic and competitive these days (I blame Facebook!)
My Questions
What is your favourite Song/Band?
My favourite band/song always changes but currently I am loving Sir/Sr. Sly! They are an amazing band and I love their EP. My favourite song as of right now is Ghost - Sir Sly.
Have you ever been abroad?
Yes, I've only ever been to Hong Kong, Beijing and some other cities in China. Beijing was really interesting and we were really lucky to have snow on the last day we were there! It was extremely cold though but I loved visiting the palaces and the GREAT WALL OF CHINA!! (And of course, the 2008 Olympics' Bird's Nest)
However, I really want to visit more places because I want to go through culture shock!
Who is your favourite actor/actress (if you have one?)?
I have so many that I really like but I don't have a specific favourite! I'll just list some of my top favourites!
Jennifer Lawrence
Emma Stone
Anne Hathaway
Keira Knightley
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Robert Downey Jr.
Johnny Depp
Paul Dano
JOO WON
Would you want to go into space?
Yes! I used to want to be an astronaut after we studied about Astronomy in science class and learned about Plato and Aristotle (cause apparently everything relates to them).
What's your favourite kind of drink?
My favourites tend to always change. I used to LOVE coffee, then mocha, then English Tea! I currently love drinking Soy Milk but it always changes. I love anything with caramel in it!
edit:// I LOOOOOOVEEE GINGER BEER
I HATE chai latte! That is foul and I don't get the hype. I will punch you if you give me a chai latte - I am literally throwing up just thinking of it.
What do you like to do in your spare time (maybe when you should be doing something else)?
I like to read -- especially Haruki Murakami novels even though they always leave me feeling completely disappointed because there's never really an actual plot-line! However I always end up reading Murakami books anyways because they're so philosophical and interesting without bordering into the supernatural/fantasy genre which I generally don't really like reading.
I also like to play games of course!~ Team Fortress 2 (although I have to admit - I'm an absolute noob.) I also LOVE to play Sims 3 and Professor Layton and Pokemon on my NDS. I also play otome games on my DS and phone. Other times I just read manga or watch anime!
Whats your favourite TV show?
I don't have a favourite TV show unless you count Bob's Burgers as one. I watched four whole seasons of BOTH Ghost Whisperers and Supernatural if that counts but I wouldn't say they were my favourite TV shows. I just like them. I kinda liked the Vampire Diaries but I've only watched one season. I wish I could belong to a TV show fandom D: but sadly I really can't commit to a TV show!
What kinds of fashion styles do you like?
I love looking at Harajuku and Avant-garde fashion styles but I know I would never be able to pull it off. I don't really like the fashion styles they have here because it's so restricted and people always end up wearing similar clothes. My own personal fashion style is completely different to the fashion style I actually like. That's because I'm POOR and I won't be able to pull it off or my parents will completely disown me if I start wearing the clothes Juria Nakagawa wears since my parents are 'modest' dressers and prefer the 'classic' look.
Below are some of the fashion styles I really like!
Do you ever want kids (one day)? If so how many?
Not really interested in kids right now. I'm more into adoption but if I do end up *magically* having kids - I would like three because I have this theory about the third child..
Whats your favourite kind of cake?
This is going to be totally cliched - but I really like green tea cake and SHOCKINGLY durian cake! I also love strawberry cakes.
Where to get your inspiration from?
Mostly from Tumblr, films, YouTube videos, Deviantart and random websites I find online.
